Srimad Bhagavatam, 4, 19, 13

atriṇā codito hantuṁ

pṛthu-putro mahā-rathaḥ

anvadhāvata saṅkruddhas

tiṣṭha tiṣṭheti cābravīt

atriṇā — by the great sage Atri; coditaḥ — being encouraged; hantum — to kill; pṛthu-putraḥ — the son of King Pṛthu; mahā-rathaḥ — a great hero; anvadhāvata — followed; saṅkruddhaḥ — being very angry; tiṣṭha tiṣṭha — just wait, just wait; iti — thus; ca — also; abravīt — he said.

Translation in purport by His Divine Grace, Srila Prabhupada.

When the son of King Pṛthu was informed by Atri of King Indra’s trick, he immediately became very angry and followed Indra to kill him, calling, “Wait! Wait!”

Purport by Srila Prabhupada.

The words tiṣṭha tiṣṭha are used by a kṣatriya when he challenges his enemy. When fighting, a kṣatriya cannot flee from the battlefield. However, when a kṣatriya out of cowardice flees from the battlefield, showing his back to his enemy, he is challenged with the words tiṣṭha tiṣṭha. A real kṣatriya does not kill his enemy from behind, nor does a real kṣatriya turn his back on the battlefield. According to kṣatriya principle and spirit, one either attains victory or dies on the battlefield. Although King Indra was very exalted, being the King of heaven, he became degraded due to his stealing the horse intended for sacrifice. Therefore he fled without observing the kṣatriya principles, and the son of Pṛthu had to challenge him with the words tiṣṭha tiṣṭha.

So in the Vedic culture things were very structured. There was a system that was followed. And even the Kshatriyas, it wasn't proper for them to flee from the battlefield. They had to either die fighting or become victorious. Nowadays when they have war they have to surrender. They don't fight to the death. They figure if they can't win, okay, we'll have a peace treaty. But this modern day society is very far from the Vedic culture. In so many ways we are deviated from the Vedic culture. Just like all the slaughterhouses, all the cows are being killed. In so many ways it is a very, very degraded situation. Just like Bhagavatam says,

śva-viḍ-varāhoṣṭra-kharaiḥ

saṁstutaḥ puruṣaḥ paśuḥ

na yat-karṇa-pathopeto

jātu nāma gadāgrajaḥ

Men who are like dogs, hogs, camels and asses, praise those men who do not listen to the transcendental pastimes of the Lord Sri Krishna, deliverer from all evils. So Prabhupada in great detail explains these four types of animals, how the modern day civilization is like these four types of animals. Sva, a dog, a dog has to have a master. That's the modern day, The street dog is in a very difficult situation. The dog has a master and he is in a very nice situation. He serves his master very nicely. The master treats him very nicely. So nowadays everyone has to be, If they don't have a boss, they don't have an employer, they don't have a master, they are in difficulty. In the Vedic culture you have the Brahmins, the Kshatriyas, the Vaishyas and the Shudras. The Brahmins, Kshatriyas and Vaishyas are all completely independent. They don't depend on some master. The Brahmins, they teach the Vedic wisdom and whatever comes, whatever donations come, they live on that, even if it is very little.

There was one Brahmin, he was very impoverished, and one wealthy man was going to offer him, I'll give you support. He said, no, I don't need your help. My disciples, they bring some rice, and see this tamarind tree here? My wife takes the leaf from the tamarind tree and she boils it with the rice and we eat very nicely. So I don't need your help. The Brahmin didn't want to be supported, have a master. And the Kshatriyas also. Just like in the battlefield of Kurukshetra, the Pandavas were taken away, they were ruling, having some land that they could take taxes from. And so they had a fight to the death. The Kshatriya had to have a ruler, he had to have some area that was his territory, he would take taxes from the citizens and protect them. So the Kshatriyas also completely independent and the Vaishyas also, they are engaged in business or they are engaged in cow protection. Only the Shudra class would have to have a boss, an employer, a master. So the modern day society they're like the dogs, they have to have a master. They may have a very big degree, even a PhD degree from Harvard University, but still they don't have, someone doesn't hire them, they are in great difficulty. They have to have a boss, somebody to hire them. Please accept me as your qualified dog. They go from employer to employer, with a tail between the leg, Please accept me as your qualified dog.

So then there is Varaha. Varaha is the hog, the village hog. There is also the forest hog, with the tusks. But the village hog, what is his diet, he eats stool. It's a stool eater, that's his diet. He looks where there's fresh stool, where there's fresh stool, you see. So that's the modern day civilization, they're just eating garbage food. They're like stool eaters, just eating garbage, all this garbage they eat in so called restaurants, it is just garbage, it is all garbage.

And then the next animal, śva-viḍ, hoṣṭra.. the camel. What is the camels, He takes a thorn eating twig, he chews on it and thinks that it's very tasty. He's actually cutting his tongue on the thorns and he's thinking, oh this is very delicious. He's eating his own blood and he thinks, oh this is very tasty. He's taking his own blood. So in the modern day civilization they overindulge in sex life. Prabhupada explains how it takes many pounds of blood to make one drop of semen. So they take great pleasure on passing the semen. It's just like the camel eating, the thorn eating camel. Oh so nice, tasting his own blood. So in this way they're passing their semen, passing their semen. Even now in ISKCON there's a new idea, bogus idea going around that recreational sex is okay. As long as you don't kill any children to come out of it, it's okay to have recreational sex.

But actually in Vedic culture they minimize sex because they understand it takes many pounds of blood to make one drop of semen. And if one can, the Prabhupada says If one can remain brahmachari after the age of 25, then he has very good, never passing semen, strictly brahmachari. Then anything he hears from his spiritual master he can remember his whole life. If one remains brahmachari after the age of 25, he can have a very good memory. So this idea going around is okay to pass semen for fun, but as long as you don't kill it, it's completely bogus. I don't know how such things can go around ISKCON. They call it the broader definition of a illicit sex life. Because Prabhupada sometimes said no sex life outside of marriage, but he also made it very clear in other times that sex is only once in a month, 4 to 6 days after the menstrual cycle, after 50 rounds of japa. And then Prabhupada clarified and gave the details, Because sometimes he said no sex life out of marriage, they say okay that's a new definition. It's like saying, the Prabhupada said, well no meat eating. Sometimes he would say no meat, fish or eggs. Because sometimes he says no meat eating, that's all he has said. So that's the broader definition of no meat eating is we can have fish and eggs now. So this idea that recreational sex is okay, might as well have fish and eggs too. You can have fish and eggs also. So in this way the Prabhupada warned us not to be like the camel, the thorn eating camel, taking great pleasure in passing semen. So many drops of, so many pounds of blood going there, every one drop of semen. And somebody says, would you give me a, here, I'd like to take a lot of your blood. You say, oh yes, here, take a lot of my blood. Please, here, take some blood, yes, I'd love to give you a lot of my blood. So their sex pleasure is like that. Yes, please give me some blood, give me many, many pounds of your blood, please give it to me. So this is the foolishness of the camel eating, the thorn eating camel civilization.

And the last animal given is the ass. The ass carries a huge, huge burden on the back. The washer man loaded him with a huge load of laundry going down the river to do the laundry for the villagers. What did he give him? A little grass. He gets a little grass. The foolish ass doesn't see there is so much grass growing here. Why do I carry this big burden? I can eat the grass growing here. Why am I carrying this huge, huge burden? This burdening myself with this huge weight on my back. So modern day civilization is dogs, hogs, camels and asses. So Krishna Consciousness movement is saying there is something better than this. There is something better than this. You have to come to the transcendental platform beyond the platform of material sense gratification. This is the foolishness of the modern day civilization. They take the gratification of the material body to be happiness. But it's not the actual self. See that's the foolishness. The body is not the actual self, it's the covering, it's the vehicle you're using. If I said, well you don't need to eat, all you have to do is put gasoline in your car and you'll be happy, you don't have to eat anything, just put gasoline in your car. You see? So that is the same thing. Just gratify your material senses, but worry.. just neglect the self within. We have to understand very carefully from the Bhagavad Gita the importance of that self within. It is like Krishna says,

yo ’ntaḥ-sukho ’ntar-ārāmas

tathāntar-jyotir eva yaḥ

sa yogī brahma-nirvāṇaṁ

brahma-bhūto ’dhigacchati

One whose happiness is within, who is active and rejoices within, and whose aim is inward is a perfect mystic. He is liberated in the Supreme and ultimately he attains the Supreme. So this is how we have to have our actual happiness. Our actual happiness is not based on the material senses.

Our actual happiness is based on our relationship with Krishna. By this loving relationship with Krishna we can get back to being who we actually are. So here we are going on to these 8,400,000 species again and again and again. Up and down, around and around, and the not so merry go around, The higher species, the lower species, up and down and around and around for millions and millions of births. We have been trying to enjoy in a false way that doesn't give satisfaction to the self. But now by the mercy of His Divine Grace, Om Vishnu-pada paramahamsa parivrajakacharya ashtottara-shata Shri Srimad A. C. Bhaktivedanta Tri-dandi Goswami Maharaja Prabhupada, we have this opportunity now to get back to being who we actually are. jīvera ‘svarūpa’ haya — kṛṣṇera ‘nitya-dāsa’ We can get back to being who we actually are. We can get out of this madness of bodily misidentification, cheating ourselves, exploiting ourselves actually.. by cheating ourselves, going after that pleasure where there is no actual happiness. So it's time now we come out of this madness of illusion. We hear very carefully from Srila Prabhupada and the great Vaishnava Acharyas. Prabhupada is explaining it so nicely in these books that help us get out of the madness of material consciousness and come to the Transcendental Platform.

na hi jṣānena sadṛśaṁ

pavitram iha vidyate

tat svayaṁ yoga-saṁsiddhaḥ

kālenātmani vindati

In this world there is nothing so sublime and pure as Transcendental Knowledge. Such Transcendental Knowledge is the mature fruit of all mysticism and he who becomes accomplished in the practice of devotional service relishes this knowledge within himself in due course of time. So that should be our focus, you see, becoming accomplished in devotional service. 24 hours a day we have the opportunity to engage in Krishna service. The moment we wake up, the moment we go to sleep at night, even in our dreams, we can be Krishna conscious. So we should become very, very accomplished in practicing devotional service. Our eyes seeing, always seeing in relationship with Krishna, our ears hearing in relationship with Krishna, our tongue tasting in relationship with Krishna. And if we use our genitals, then producing Krishna conscious children according to Prabhupada's instructions. So in this way we become accomplished in the practice of devotional service and relish this knowledge. What is the knowledge? I'm not this body in the service of Krishna. That's knowledge. I can relish the fact that I am not this material body. I am an eternal spiritual being, qualitatively one with the Supreme Lord. He is eternal full of knowledge and bliss. I am also eternal full of knowledge and bliss. We can meditate on his wonderful pastimes, His amazing qualities.

veṇuṁ kvaṇantam aravinda-dalāyatākṣam-

barhāvataṁsam asitāmbuda-sundarāṅgam

kandarpa-koṭi-kamanīya-viśeṣa-śobhaṁ

govindam ādi-puruṣaṁ tam ahaṁ bhajāmi

I worship Govinda, the primeval Lord who is adept at playing on his flute, With blooming eyes like lotus petals, head decked with peacock feather, with the figure of beauty, chins with the hue of blue clouds, and his unique loveliness is charming millions of cupids. Just imagine, Here's a person, the most expert musician in all of existence. Nobody can compete, nobody can, even the most famous so-called accomplished musicians of this world, they're nothing compared to His musical ability. When He plays that flute it charms everyone. The whole world is charmed by the beautiful sound of his flute playing. Just imagine a supreme musician who is attracting everyone. The way he glances with His eyes, the way He holds His head, the way He walks, everything about Him is just, everybody is completely enchanted by His amazing, amazing qualities.

We have the opportunity now to regain His association, actually enter into His transcendental pastimes, be one of His associates in His amazing, amazing adventures in the spiritual sky. And even here we get to participate also in His pastimes. His pastimes as Lord Chaitanya, He has come to deliver the world. So by engaging in this activity, the Sankirtana yoga, distributing books, Harinam Sankirtana, preaching, prasadam distribution, preaching programs, all these activities, We are actually participating in the pastimes of Krishna Himself, in His most merciful form of Lord Caitanya. Even giving this class, you see, I am participating in the pastimes of Krishna by giving this class and you by hearing this class are also participating in the pastimes of Krishna. So we can actually enter into Krishna's pastimes right here, right now, by the mercy of Lord Caitanya and Srila Prabhupada.

So it is not difficult actually to become Krishna conscious, just requires practice, that's all. It is like how do you learn to drive a car? By practice. How do you learn to offer an Aartik? By practice. How do you learn to cook some halva? By practice. The same way you learn to do anything, by practice, we just practice devotional service, that's all. By this practice, everything becomes, the more we practice devotional service the more everything becomes transcendentalized. Everything becomes completely transcendentalized.

jñānena tu tad ajñānaṁ

yeṣāṁ nāśitam ātmanaḥ

teṣām āditya-vaj jñānaṁ

prakāśayati tat param

When one is enlightened with that knowledge by which nessence is destroyed, then his knowledge lights up everything. It's like the sun lights up everything in the daytime. Or just like in the dark night, and the sun comes up, oh, all, the suns come. So in the same way, one becomes enlightened with this transcendental knowledge and everything becomes enlightened and brilliant. The whole world becomes transformed. You can see the whole world in relation to Krishna. So if we take this process seriously we can become completely transcendentalized, no longer captivated by the material nature. This is such a wonderful process, we get a higher taste. Taste we want, we want satisfaction, everybody is looking for satisfaction. We can't get it in this material world, because material sense gratification does not satisfy the self, simply agitates actually.

bāhya-sparśeṣv asaktātmā

vindaty ātmani yat sukham

sa brahma-yoga-yuktātmā

sukham akṣayam aśnute

Such a liberated person, the Krishna conscious person, you see, he's not attracted to material sense pleasure, but he's always in trance relishing the pleasure within. In this way the self-realized soul enjoys limited happiness, for he always concentrates on the Supreme. How would you like to enjoy unlimited happiness? Who wouldn't want to enjoy unlimited happiness? Well it's right here waiting for us. We just have to dive in. Just have to dive in. Unlimited happiness is there waiting for us. Just to become sober. See right now the trouble is we are intoxicated by the mature nature. We are going crazy. We get carried away by the senses. But how does Krishna explain it? He says,

dhyāyato viṣayān puṁsaḥ

saṅgas teṣūpajāyate

saṅgāt sañjāyate kāmaḥ

kāmāt krodho ’bhijāyate

While contemplating the objects of the senses, a person develops attraction for them. From such attraction lust develops, from lust anger, from anger delusion, delusion bewilder memory, when memory is bewildered intelligence is lost, and when intelligence is lost, bloop, one falls down again into the material pool. So that's the problem right now. We're constantly asking the senses, oh see that girl over there, or see that fancy car, or see that million dollar house. We get attracted by these material sense objects. So we have to say, okay senses, now you have one, my dear eyes, my dear ears, all my dear senses, you have one business only, Hrsikena hrsikesa-sevanam. All your senses, your only business now is to be engaging in Krishna service 24-7.

In every situation, whatever you are doing, your only business is Krishna consciousness. Don't give in to the tendency to want to enjoy separate from Krishna. Kick it out with boot. Kick it out, kick it out with boot. I have to have my only business now is Krishna consciousness, from now on for all of eternity. Why do I keep running after the material nature? Why am I so stupid? Why am I so asinine? I keep running after the material nature thinking I get some pleasure there. If there is any pleasure to be have in the material world, it is a long time finished. punaḥ punaś carvita-carvaṇānām. Again and again chewing the chewed. If there is any flavor in the material energy it is a long time finished. It is like somebody spat out their bubble gum and some pauper picked out the bubble gum and started chewing it. There might be some pleasure in that bubble gum. He spat out his gum and he...

Srimati Guru Mataji (Vishnu-priya Devi Dasi): .. Nobody going to touch it. Nobody ... They could take the cigarette.

Sankarshan Das Adhikari: The cigarette they might take. They may not take bubble gum but the cigarette. Pauper may pass out, they might get a cigarette. So anyway, the point is, if there is any happiness in the long time chewed out, chewing the chewed, it doesn't make any sense. punaḥ punaś carvita-carvaṇānām. Again and again chewing the chewed. We should not try to chew the sense gratification anymore. We should give it up realizing there is nothing there for us. My only happiness is in Krishna consciousness. So take this process seriously, become completely turned on to the Transcendental Platform.

That's intelligence isn't it? Come to the Transcendental Platform. Give up the mundane platform.

Prabhupada so kindly given us this wonderful process, taking so much time and trouble writing all these books, giving up his sleep. An old man like that should be traveling constantly all over the world, not sleeping very much. He did a great austerity actually for us. Of course he was in transcendental ecstasy, doing it, because he was pleasing his spiritual master. His spiritual master told him to spread Krishna consciousness to the English speaking world and he took it very seriously. He took that order his very life and soul and just see the results, just see the results.

Now he wants us all to take this world deliverance mission very, very, very seriously, very soberly, very seriously accept this world deliverance mission. If we dedicate ourselves for making the world Krishna conscious, our Krishna consciousness will automatically be there. Let me do everything possible to spread this Krishna consciousness movement 24 hours a day. Let me do everything, set a perfect example by my quality japa, my quality service. Let me do everything first class service to show the example of the world that by focusing on serving Krishna in the most perfect way, it becomes a very happy, very ecstatic thing.

Does anybody have any questions? No questions?

Srimati Guru Mataji: They may take some time, jot it down, could you?

Sankarshan Das Adhikari: So we have to become like a lamp in a windless place. Krishna actually gives this example.

yathā dīpo nivātastho

neṅgate sopamā smṛtā

yogino yata-cittasya

yuñjato yogam ātmanaḥ

As a lamp in a windless place does not waver, so the transcendentalist whose mind is controlled remains always steady in his meditation on the transcendent self. We shouldn't be like a flickering lamp by the wind. Material nature is agitating us, you see. Agitated by this non-material thought, no. Like a lamp in a windless place, you see. Here's some questions coming in.

How to become a good example for others when I'm still getting affected with happiness, distress, attachment?

Well we have to detach ourselves from the, We have to see everything philosophically, not be carried away by our emotions, our material emotions. See everything through the eyes of scripture, Sastra-caksusa. If I'm going to get difficulty, it's like when we have some health issues, some severe health difficulty, it doesn't go away. So how should one deal with it? Well see this is Krishna's special mercy. Krishna has given me this for a reason. He's putting me in this difficult situation in my house for a reason. It is his loving kindness. So you see everything is the loving kindness of Krishna. That is the way you can be properly situated. Whatever comes, see it is Krishna's mercy. If something wonderful comes, say, I didn't deserve this but Krishna is kindly giving this to me. Something really bad comes, I deserve much worse but Krishna is giving me only a token reaction for what I really deserve. So the key is to see everything in relation with Krishna. Your happiness and distress, see all of it in relation with Krishna and then you will always be transcendentally happy. We shouldn't try to find our happiness on the material plane where it is always up and down, up and down, up and down. We should find our happiness on the spiritual plane where it is ever increasing, ever increasing, ever increasing for all eternity.

Vishnurata. Is the Brahamana, Ksatriya, Sudhra classification present right from the beginning of creation. What does Krishna say in the Bhagavad Gita?

cātur-varṇyaṁ mayā sṛṣṭaṁ

guṇa-karma-vibhāgaśaḥ

tasya kartāram api māṁ

viddhy akartāram avyayam

According to the three modes of material nature and the work associated with them, the four divisions of human society are created by me although I am the creator of this system and yet the non-doer being unchangeable.

So these three modes of material nature are intrinsic to this material nature. So these four divisions of human society are always there from the very beginning of the material existence. They are always there. Nowadays practically everyone is Shudra. I had to get a job, go to college, get a degree so I can get a job. This is Shudras. Practically the whole society is Shudra. What is that verse? Kalau śūdra-sambhavaḥ In the age of Kali everybody is a shudra. This is the age for shudra. This is the shudra age.

Gabriel from Lithuania. I feel very inspired in the devotional service path. I'm glad I have this opportunity to join these classes. I'm really glad you're here, Bhakta Grebiel. Very, very glad you're here. Take this process seriously and your life will be unlimitedly sublime.

Hare Krishna Das. Kindly enlighten, the material world. Goal are time bound. Is time bound goal in the spiritual realm? Well, There are different ways to look at it. The devotee's goal is to become a pure devotee as soon as possible. And they carry out the orders of the Srila Prabhupada to deliver the world. So as soon as possible. That's the time consciousness of the devotee. Let me as soon as possible become purified so I can see Krishna face to face. And let me become purified as soon as possible so I can become powerful for making this world around me Krishna conscious as soon as possible. Yes, it is definitely time bound. A.S.A.P. As soon as possible.

Any questions from the locals here?

Devotee: How to stay sober when we are trying to tackle a rhino?

Sankarshan Das Adhikari: Well just like the hunter, he becomes successful in his hunting. He has to be very sober When he takes his rifle and he very soberly focuses on the target. Very soberly. Very soberly. Just take it to the high zone. Having fun. I sometimes shoot him. He doesn't get the target. He's very sober. I must aim very carefully so I can get this target. Aim very carefully. So my aim is to be a pure devotee, that's the ultimate rhino. I'm going to capture the rhino, I'm going to make this rascal mind of mine, this rascal rhino mind of mine, I'm going to capture this rhino mind and absorb it fully in Krishna service. Absolute purity of this rascal mind, to becomes very sober. It is a very serious business. It is like a surgeon. When he is doing the surgery, he is very, very sober. He is very, very delicate. He is taking a very sharp knife and going and cutting in, going inside the person's body and cutting different organs. And he's very, very, very, very sober. Otherwise, it will kill the patient. So Just as a doctor, in a surgery has to be very sober and careful what he's doing, so we're doing an even more important surgery in our consciousness. We have to cut out these anarthas, this lust, the anger, the greed, the madness, the illusion, the envy. I could go into my psyche and cut them out with a knife of transcendental knowledge. I could very carefully do the surgery on my consciousness. Mr. Lust, Mr. Anger, Mr. Greed, Mr. Illusion, Mr. Madness, Mr. Envy, get out of here. But we don't want to destroy the actual self.

jīvera ‘svarūpa’ haya — kṛṣṇera ‘nitya-dāsa’, we don't deny the self like the Mayavadis. They just try to kill the self. I think that way they become free from the anarthas. That process doesn't actually work. Even if they are able to achieve Brahman realization after many millions of years as described in the Brahma Samhita.

panthās tu koṭi-śata-vatsara-sampragamyo

vāyor athāpi manaso muni-puṅgavānām

so 'py asti yat-prapada-sīmny avicintya-tattve

govindam ādi-puruṣaṁ tam ahaṁ bhajāmi

I worship Govinda the primeval lord, the meditators of whom I meditated... No, that's not that. I worship Govinda, the primeval Lord, only the tip of the toe of whose lotus feet is approached by the yogīs who aspire after the transcendental and betake themselves to prāṇāyāma by drilling the respiration; or by the jñānīs who try to find out the nondifferentiated Brahman by the process of elimination of the mundane, extending over thousands of millions of years. So they may try to get rid of the anarthas over thousands of millions of years of denying the self. But that is only a temporary attempt and they fall back again in material consciousness, because denying the self is artificial. Instead of denying the self we have to affirm the actual self. I am the eternal servant of Krishna and I have to get rid of this lust, anger, greed, madness, delusion and envy and come back to being who I actually am. So the Krishna Conscious Movement is teaching you how to be who you actually are. Actually this neti neti process, you deny deny deny deny deny, but the perfection of denial is to deny, deny, also. neti neti, the absolute truth is not this, it's not that, you go on denying, denying, denying, denying for thousands of millions of years, trying to come to the absolute truth by denying everything that's not the absolute truth. But ultimately if you're going to deny everything, you have to deny denial also. You have to do a neti-neti on neti-neti also. Come to the realm of the position of transcendental accepting.

Here we go. Vishnuratha. Will you please explain the difference between material and transcendental senses?

Yes. Your transcendental senses, your material senses are covering right now your transcendental senses. In the spiritual world you are not senseless. You can see Krishna, you can hear Krishna, you can taste prasadam, you can smell the aroma from the lotus feet of the Lord, you can experience everything. Just like here you can experience with your senses in the spiritual world, you can also experience with your senses. Your senses are completely pure and they are fully engaged in the service of Krishna.

Srimati Guru Mataji: Would you say that material senses and transcendental senses, simply as material senses which are gratifying the senses, material things, and transcendental senses are engaged in service of Krishna.

Sankarshan Das Adhikari: Yes, actually you are reviving, when you engage your senses in the service of Krishna, you are reviving your transcendental senses. It is like now you are hearing the Srimad Bhagavatam, you are transcendentalizing your ears. Your transcendental senses are hearing the Bhagavatam. So by engaging your senses, Hrsikena hrsikesa-sevanam, by engaging your senses in the service of the master of the senses, Hrsikesh, you are now reviving your spiritual senses.

Srimati Guru Mataji: And you can have the rest of the senses here also.

Sankarshan Das Adhikari: You already have them but they are covered by lust, anger, greed, madness, illusion and envy. When you engage your present material senses, instead of looking at a beautiful girl, you can look at the beautiful form of Krishna. So in this way, you are reviving your transcendental senses.

Anything else?

So we have to make our minds like a lamp in a windless place, no longer carried away, no longer attracted to the material nature.

Everybody satisfied now? Ready to become a pure devotee? Make the world Krishna conscious?

Bhakta Sunil, what does it mean to relish transcendental knowledge?

That's explained by Krishna. When one becomes accomplished in the practice of devotional service, relishes knowledge within himself in due course of time. If we tell a materialist, you are the eternal servant of Krishna, he will say, what are you talking about? He won't be attracted to that idea. Who is this Krishna? Some Hindu mythology. What are you talking about? Don't bother me with this garbage. I am the eternal servant of Krishna. But someone who is actually absorbed in devotional service, They can just, they can relish, oh wow, I'm the eternal servant of Krishna, I'm not this temporary body, I'm an eternal spiritual being, qualitatively one with the Lord, He's eternal full of knowledge and bliss, I'm also eternal full of knowledge and bliss, I'm His eternal servant. It can be enlivened, relish the ecstasy of meditating on who you really are. It's not difficult if you absorb devotional service, you will naturally embellish this transcendental knowledge. If you are not relishing the transcendental knowledge, it means you are not absorbing yourself in devotional service. You are still engaged in sense gratification. So kick out all sense gratification. Fully absorb your senses serving Krishna. Then you relish his transcendental knowledge. The pastimes of Krishna become the most enlivening, wonderful thing, you see. How He killed the Agasura demon, how He killed the Putana demon, how He stole the clothes of the Gopi girls. All these pastimes have become just the most exciting, thrilling thing to think about from all these past times of Krishna.

Everybody ready now to embrace devotional service as your only business, with your every thought, word and deed in all times, places and circumstances? To kick out all tendencies to enjoy separately from Krishna and have only one desire and that is to please Guru and Krishna with every thought, word and deed in all time, places and circumstances? Pancha Tattva says, yes. Very good. Now let's do it. Let's get out of Maya and stop being stupid idiots trying to enjoy separately from Krishna when there is no enjoyment separately from Krishna. So we'll stop here. We thank everybody for tuning in.

Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna Hare Hare

Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare.
