Sankarshan Das Adhikari:
So, today we are reading from Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam, 4th Canto, Chapter 25, Text 30., 4-25-30.
Oṁ namo bhagavate vāsudevāya
Oṁ namo bhagavate vāsudevāya
Oṁ namo bhagavate vāsudevāya
yad eṣa māpāṅga-vikhaṇḍitendriyaṁ
savrīḍa-bhāva-smita-vibhramad-bhruvā
tvayopasṛṣṭo bhagavān mano-bhavaḥ
prabādhate ’thānugṛhāṇa śobhane
yat — because; eṣaḥ — this; mā — me; apāṅga — by your glances; vikhaṇḍita — agitated; indriyam — whose senses or mind; sa-vrīḍa — with shyness; bhāva — affection; smita — smiling; vibhramat — bewildering; bhruvā — with eyebrows; tvayā — by you; upasṛṣṭaḥ — being influenced; bhagavān — the most powerful; manaḥ-bhavaḥ — cupid; prabādhate — is harassing; atha — therefore; anugṛhāṇa — be merciful; śobhane — O very beautiful one.
Translation in Purport by His Divine Grace Srila Prabhupada.
Certainly your glancing upon me today has very much agitated my mind. Your smile, which is full of shyness but at the same time lusty, is agitating the most powerful cupid within me. Therefore, O most beautiful, I ask you to be merciful upon me.
Purport.
Everyone has lusty desires within, and as soon as one is agitated by the movement of a beautiful woman’s eyebrows, the cupid within immediately throws his arrow at the heart. Thus one is quickly conquered by the eyebrows of a beautiful woman. When one is agitated by lusty desires, his senses are attracted by all kinds of viṣaya — enjoyable things like sound, touch, form, smell and taste. These attractive sense objects oblige one to come under the control of a woman. In this way the conditional life of a living entity begins. Conditional life means being under the control of a woman, and certainly the living entity is always at the mercy of a woman or a man. Thus living entities live in bondage to one another, and thus they continue this conditional, material life illusioned by māyā.
vande ham sri-guroh sri-yuta-pada-kamalam sri-gurun vaishnavams ca
sri-rupam sagrajatam saha-gana-raghunathanvitam tam sa jivam
sadvaitam savadhutam parijana-sahitam krishna-caitanya-devam
sri-radha-krishna-padan saha-gana-lalita- sri-visakhanvitams ca
So, this describes very nicely our position here in this material world, being attracted by the opposite sex. Even the movement of a woman's eyebrows can totally conquer the mind of a man. Therefore I want us to be very, very careful in this material world not to be overpowered by sex desire. This sex desire is the basic principle of material existence. Everyone is running on sex, sex, sex. Even for ordinary toothpaste, there are so many things in the advertising, they use sex to sell it. They say sex sells. Even some ordinary thing, they always show a beautiful woman, very attractively dressed, with very attractive makeup, etc., etc., to lure the customers to buy the product. So we're also buying this product of sex. And this sex desire is keeping us entangled one birth after another birth, after another birth, another birth. Whether we're attracted to the female of the human species, or the baboon species, or the crocodile species, or the elephant species, or the monkey species, or the woman being attracted to the male. And this way we're going on birth after birth after birth after birth. Sex is the basic principle of material existence.
So even in this married life, it's also the same attraction of sex, although it's slightly polished. Even Prabhupada says marriage is called licensed prostitution. So even in married life the sexual attraction is there. Legalized prostitution, even married life. So the whole thing is going on sex, sex, sex. So how to get free from this sex desire? That's the big most important thing. We want to become Krishna conscious, we have to become free from this lust, this sex desire, going crazy about the opposite sex. So we have to get the higher taste, that's the key.
viṣayā vinivartante
nirāhārasya dehinaḥ
rasa-varjaṁ raso ’py asya
paraṁ dṛṣṭvā nivartate
The embodied soul may be restricted from sense enjoyment, though the taste for sense objects remains but ceasing such engagements by experiencing a higher taste, he is fixed in consciousness. So the real position here, the real thing we have to do is we have to get the higher taste. If you don't get the higher taste, taste must be there. You see, the Mayavadis say, deny taste. Deny, cut, cut, cut. I don't want taste. Cut it out, cut it out, cut it out. Their taste is tastelessness. See, they're still after taste. Even the Mayavadis are after taste. They want to taste tastelessness. So taste is always there. Even in the Mayavadi, everybody is looking for taste. Taste, taste, taste, taste. So we have to learn that experience, that higher taste. That taste is there in our original loving relationship with Krishna. Each one of us has an original svarupa, original identity with Lord Sri Krishna, in which we have unlimited taste of loving reciprocation with that supreme, all-attractive personality, who is all-powerful, all-beautiful, all-renounced, all-famous, all-wealthy and all-wise. Each 1one of us has that supreme taste of a loving relationship with the Supreme Beloved Lord Sri Krishna.
So how do we revive that original, unlimitedly tasteful experience of loving reciprocation of the Supreme Lord? That is the great mercy of Krishna. He comes and He sends His representative, the bona fide spiritual master, He sends the devotees, and He Himself comes as a devotee to show us what is this process of getting back to our original, unlimitedly tasteful position. So all these lower tastes will no longer attract us. I give you a gulab jamun or a piece of stool, you go for the gulab jamun, isn't it? You want a nice piece of stool, of course the hog will go for the stool, oh very nice.
So we have to learn how to revive that original taste for bhakti. So, there we have the promise of sadhana bhakti, there's vaidhi bhakti, there's raga bhakti, when your taste is already awakened, and then there's vaidhi bhakti trying to awaken that taste, by regulated principles, hearing, chanting, remembering, offering prayers, serving the Vaishnavas, serving the spiritual master. In this way, Navavida-bhakti, we go through these regulated processes. It's Like when you're sick, you go to the doctor, he gives you the medicine, you take this, you don't take that, and this way you follow the instructions of the physician, you become healthy again. So right now we're in a very diseased state. We're lusty, we're angry, we're greedy, we're lazy, we're crazy, we have all these problems. And our internet went off, another problem. Try again.
All right. So, then how do we get back? We have to take advantage of these great acharyas who have talked out the way. Mahājano yena gataḥ sa panthāḥ. These great Acharyas have chalked out the pathway. We have to take advantage of these great Acharyas. Here's the way. If you're lost in the forest somewhere, you don't know where to go, you're completely bewildered, what to do, what to do, how to get back to civilization. Someone comes, oh here's the pathway. Oh there's the Pathway, yeah. So these great Acharyas like Srila Prabhupada comes, here's the pathway. You're lost, you're bewildered, you're confused, you're in great anxiety, you're in distress, trying to squeeze pleasure out of that place where pleasure does not even exist. See, nobody gets any satisfaction from this sex pleasure, actually. In the beginning it is very nice. Oh, I love you. I love you. You're very dear. You're my very life and soul. I cannot live without you. The man says the woman. The woman also says, I cannot live without you. You're my life and soul. The Next day, divorce. So there's no satisfaction. It's like that popular song back in the 60s, I can't get no satisfaction. Big mega hit. We're not satisfied. We're trying this. We're drinking this. We're smoking that. We're having sex here. We're trying this way, that way, this way, that way, but there's no satisfaction because we're trying to enjoy on an artificial platform. You see? You cannot enjoy where enjoyment does not exist. Enjoyment does not exist in this material existence. There is no enjoyment here.
So we have to get back to that position where actual enjoyment exists. Bhakti rasa. We have to get back to the actual position where enjoyment, real enjoyment is there. Enjoyment is there waiting for us. Come back, come back, come back, come back. Give up your foolish pride. Actually, there's great, you say, well, I have to be a servant? I have to be a servant of somebody? I'm a, you know. But the thing is, there's so much bhakti in this devotional service. Even Krishna himself, He sees, what is this?
(All participants are muted)
Here's this Girl, Radharani. Here I am, I'm the supreme enjoyer. There's this Girl here, Radharani, She's getting more pleasure by serving Me than I'm tasting by being served by Her. So Krishna doesn't want to be outdone. He says, I want to taste what Radharani is tasting. Because she's tasting more nectar than I am, I want to taste what Radharani is tasting. Therefore I will take the complexion and the mood of Radharani and what is that? Shri Caitanya Mahaprabhu.
Guru Mataji (Vishnu-Priya Devi Dasi): Check if they are able to hear.
Sankarshan Das Adhikari: Do what?
Guru Mataji: Inquire them if they are able to hear
Sankarshan Das Adhikari: Oh yeah, let's turn on the chat mode then to see. If you all can hear me? you can hear, say yes, I hear you and if there's no comment we know you're not hearing. Can you hear me? Okay great. We're tuned in, turn on and blissing out. Good.
Okay. So we have to tune in really. We have to tune into that broadcast. What is it called? Galoka Vrindavan radio, you see. Got to tune in to that channel, you see. Channel 108 on your dial. Tune in, you see. And just like there's so much garbage out there on the radio, but if you tune into the right channel, the Krishna Katha Channel, you see, then you're sitting pretty, you're well situated. What does Krishna say?
mac-cittā mad-gata-prāṇā
bodhayantaḥ parasparam
kathayantaś ca māṁ nityaṁ
tuṣyanti ca ramanti ca
What is that tuṣyanti and ramanti? Great satisfaction and bliss. They taste great satisfaction and bliss by enlightening one another and conversing about Me.
So we have to, Prabhupada is showing us where to tune in, you see. We've been tuning into this material existence for thousands and millions and billions and quadrillions and quintillions, go on expanding, unlimited number of lifetimes we've been trying to squeeze pleasure from that place where there is no pleasure. So it's time to stop being so stupid, so misguided, so misdirected, so cheated. It's time for us to stop being cheated by all these rascals, so-called leaders, these rakshasa-man-eating demons who are leading the world right now. It's time for us to stop being misled by these cheaters and actually understand who is our real leader. Lord Sri Krishna Bhagavan, He's our real leader. You say, Why should Krishna be the leader? Well, he's in charge of the whole thing. He's manifesting this whole thing for his own pleasure. This manifestation, this existence, is the pleasure pastime of the Supreme Lord.
Somebody says, where did God come from? one could ask. Well, God came from God. Why did he come from God? Why does Krishna exist? Because He wants to exist. How do I know that He exists? one could ask. Well, you have to go meet Him, you know He exists. And we show you the way how to go meet Him, you see. Then you know He really exists, He's not just a myth. Some fairy tale, oh there's someone called God out there. Actually we can philosophically understand there must be a Supreme Person, must be a God out there, we can philosophically prove it actually, by logic. Its very simple to understand there must be a Supreme. Because we see that, every machine has an operator. Show me some machine that works without an operator? Even if it comes out automatically, somebody programmed it to come on, you see. Every machine has an operator, we see this universe functions just like a machine. Therefore, I can guess it must also has an operator. Nothing goes on automatically, everything has a person behind it. Therefore there must be Supreme Person behind all of existence. And wouldn't it be interesting to meet that person?
Well, it is very interesting to do that. And he makes Himself accessible to us. That's why He's come and spoken, He's come and given us this wonderful knowledge, the Bhagavad Gita. Telling us to give up all our other nonsense. sarva-dharmān parityajya. Give up all your nonsense. You're serving this, you're serving that. You're serving your wife, you're serving your husband, you're serving your dog, you're serving your country. You're serving this and that. You're serving so many ways, but not being satisfied. Instead of being caught up in all these different seva, seva, seva, seva, seva, come to the Supreme seva, param seva, come to serving that Supreme Person, you water the root of the tree, we said millions of times, you water the root of the tree, all the leaves and branches are nourished, you feed the belly, the whole body becomes nourished, you feed the belly, that's the way to do. We put our loving service there, the root of all existence, then we feel unlimited satisfaction. I serve this and that, I get only limited satisfaction, often I get frustrated when I serve this and that. Isn't it? Don't we get frustrated sometimes? I get so many letters from my students how they're frustrated in this way and that way. It's overwhelming how much people are frustrated. My husband did this, my wife did this, my parents did this. It's just one thing after another. Frustration-loka we can call it. It's one thing after another. We're totally frustrated here, you see. But why should we be frustrated? Our nature is not to be frustrated. That's why we don't like being frustrated because frustration is not our natural position.
Our natural position is always being in a state of bliss. That's why we're always looking, where can I find the bliss? Can I smoke this? Can I drink that? Can I have sex with this? Sex with that? Where can I find satisfaction? But the real fact is, if we get back to our original loving relationship with that Supreme Person, we can find unlimited happiness. So this Krishna Ganges movement is a wonderful benediction of Lord Caitanya. He's actually conquering the world right now by this Sankirtana movement. This is a wonderful, wonderful benediction of Lord Caitanya to help us getting back, as we often say, know who you are and be who you are.
So now we leave a little time here for questions and answers. So I'm just going to stop going on with the lecture and we'll open it up for questions and answers now. Guru Mataji can give us some further realizations.
Guru Mataji: You said about the taste. Mayavadis deny the taste.
Sankarshan Das Adhikari: They're trying to taste tastelessness.
Guru Mataji: Yes, tastelessness. But in the beginning if we deny the taste, wouldn't we make progress and try to take the real taste?
Sankarshan Das Adhikari: If we try to... Well, yes, it is there. Lord Yamunacharya would spit at such tastes.
yad-avadhi mama cetaḥ kṛṣṇa-pādāravinde
nava-nava-rasa-dhāmany udyataṁ rantum āsīt
tad-avadhi bata nārī-saṅgame smaryamāne
bhavati mukha-vikāraḥ suṣṭhu niṣṭhīvanaṁ ca
He was formerly a king, having so much sex pleasure with the maidens in the palace. But now he's become a Vaishnava. He would sometimes remember, oh, remember when I was doing this for that girl? Forget it. (spitting sound) He would spit at it, you see. So it's good to deny those tastes. Spit at those damn tastes.
Guru Mataji: Is that why we have this four regulative principles?
Sankarshan Das Adhikari: That's right. No illicit sex, no meat eating, no... It's good to spit at them, but then at the same time, you've got to have something better. I can't just go on spitting all day. I have to... You can spit, but you have to put something... You're spitting out, but you have to put something in that's nice. So we have Prashadam. We spit out the thought of all this sinful activity, we take in wonderful kirtan, wonderful darshan, wonderful philosophy. So both things are there, denying and accepting both. Mayavadis, they simply want to deny, you see. They had nothing to replace it with. We deny also, but then we replace it with something better.
Guru Mataji: Still, that attitude towards that, to give up this lower taste, is very beneficial.
Sankarshan Das Adhikari: Oh yeah, we have to have that activity. We have to understand if I'm still attracted by seeing these girls over here, these boys over here, if I'm still feeling an urge to enjoy that woman or that man, we have to spit at that thing. We have to say, no, stop it, you damn mind. My dear mind, you must understand your happiness is not the opposite sex, your happiness is Krishna. It's good to deny those things and then replace it with a positive thing. So deny and replace both.
Guru Mataji: Trying that also to replace with something, we go wrong direction also, replacing.
Sankarshan Das Adhikari: We have to replace it with the proper thing.
Guru Mataji: Just like legitimate.
Sankarshan Das Adhikari: Yeah, legitimate prostitution.. Legitimate prostitution. Yeah, so we have to, even marriage is a license for sex pleasure, but even then it has to be given up. And even in marriage, Prabhupad made it very strict. Sex life is not unlimited in married life. Sex life in married life means, first of all, how many people are doing this? Prabhupad said, first thing you get permission from the Spiritual master. That's the first thing. How many ISKCON devotees are doing that? How many married couples are getting permission first from the Spiritual master? Before they can try to have a child. That's like the problem is, first they get permission from the Spiritual master. Gurudev, will you bless us to try to get a child? Without that blessing, there's no sex. First thing is, get the blessings of the Spiritual master. And then second thing, once in a month, 4 to 6 days after the woman's menstrual cycle and after chanting at least 5 0, not 1 5, but 5 0 rounds of japa.
Guru Mataji: 5 0 is nothing. It's a concession.
Sankarshan Das Adhikari: It's a concession for us fallen souls. Actually, why not 150? It's a concession for us fallen souls. And then, So in this way, Prabhupada gives that concession, but then after Vanaprastha, after the age of 50, no more sex. See, up to 50 you can do that, but then Vanaprastha...
Guru Mataji: Also, before begetting the child, going to take the permission, they have to be celibate.
Sankarshan Das Adhikari: Oh, yeah, there's celibacy before that, of course. Not that they can have fun and then take permission. Have fun in the bed and then take permission. No. Celibacy. That's called grihasta brahmacharya, you see? Yeah, There's Grihasta and Grihamedhi. Grihamedhi means I have sex for fun. Grihasta means strictly following the principles given by Prabhupada. That's Grihasta. Otherwise they're not Grihasta, they're Grihamedhi. That's right. So, Grihamedhi is also good. I mean, Grihamedhi. For getting over propelled by Maya. I covered myself on that. Grihamedhi is good for remaining in the cycle of birth and death. I covered my mistake(laughing)
Very good for staying, for going out of the animal kingdom. Grihamedhi life. Yeah, very good for going down to the eight million four hundred species.
Guru Mataji: And after also getting into the rest of life, getting the children, they should do it early as possible so they have time for retirement.
Sankarshan Das Adhikari: Yeah
Guru Mataji: And become free of attachments.
Sankarshan Das Adhikari: If you wait till the age of 49, it's going to be a little tough. Wait and do it early on. Early on is the best thing. By the time the children are grown up, you can retire. Now there are little kids and you're running around with their diapers and you want to take Vanaprastha.
Guru Mataji: It's like at the age of 40 or 45 that people want to get married
Sankarshan Das Adhikari: Forget it. Let's be realistic people. Let's not, let's be a little realistic and let's follow in the Vedic culture. Why don't we follow Vedic culture instead of Karmic culture. Which culture do you want to follow, Vedic culture or Karmic culture? Vedic? All right, well let's do it then. Let's do it.
Guru Mataji: You remember one devotee, over 40 years, he is asking me, Mataji, do you have any girls that I would like to get married? So I told him, you are over 40, it's almost the time for retirement. What are you doing?
Sankarshan Das Adhikari: Any questions? Yeah.
Devotee: Hare Krishna Srila Gurudev. Srila Gurudev, there are many devotees who keep asking about why you got married if you don't want to have a child or if you want to become a brahmachari. So it's better you could have a brahmachari life, why you got married. So how to answer them and what to say?
Sankarshan Das Adhikari: Well, we're not having children. Our marriage was arranged, actually. We didn't get
Guru Mataji: He is not talking about your marriage.
Sankarshan Das Adhikari: Yeah, I was just giving an example. If a marriage is arranged, that's one thing. It's not that you have to have children because you're married. But generally, Prabhupada said marriage without children is like living in like a desert. So I mean.
Guru Mataji: (Inaudible) Chanakya pandit.
Sankarshan Das Adhikari: Yeah. So generally, marriage means having children. But if a married couple chooses not, they'd rather we just preach and expand the movement that way instead of expanding the movement by pregnancy, you want to expand the movement by preaching. And one can do that also. You don't have to have sex because you're married, not you're obliged, you must have sex. Not obliged. If you choose to be a preaching couple who spreads the movement by preaching instead of by sex, you can do that. It has to be both sides, though. Both of you have to agree. You can't say, OK, my wife, you know, it has to be agreed on both sides, mutually agreed. Can't frustrate one half of the marriage by your desire to be a preacher. Because you can be a preacher and have children also.
Anything else? Yeah.
Devotee: Can we meet Krishna face to face in this lifetime itself?
Sankarshan Das Adhikari: Can we meet Krishna face to face in this lifetime? I certainly hope so. You know why? Prabhupada told me to do that. In direct order to Sankarshan Das. He said, now you must become qualified to see Krishna face to face. So I hope I can certainly do that. It is possible, yes, to do that. Because otherwise, Prabhupad wouldn't have told me such a thing. It is possible to do that. It's not an easy thing. You can't jump to it artificially. Oh, I saw Krishna! Guess what prabhu, I saw Krishna! It's not something you want to brag. You know, I thought I saw Krishna, so I want to say I saw Krishna. It's not some artificial thing. One has to become completely purified. All-material desire is zero. Absolutely purified. Where you can chant Hare Krishna 24 hours a day with ever increasing ecstasy. Beyond that even.
Guru Mataji: Krishna is present everywhere. You have to have the eyes to see it. Here it is.
Sankarshan Das Adhikari: Another, another side of it is this. The first lecture I heard from Prabhupada, it was, I can never forget this day, it was in June of 71 in Golden Gate Park, the Ratha Yatra. Prabhupada, there was 300 devotees and 3000 hippies. And Prabhupada said, you have all seen God. Because Krishna said, I am the light of the sun and light of the moon. He said, every day you're drinking water, once, twice, thrice, more than that, every day. Every time you drink water, remember that Krishna is the taste of the water, immediately become Krishna conscious. So in one sense, we're all seeing God every day in the sunshine. In that way we're seeing Krishna, we're tasting Krishna, we're seeing Krishna, every one of us, even the most sinful Jagais and Madais are seeing Krishna, in that sense. But to actually see His original form, that's possible, yes. Now try to come to that point. By driving all material desires out of the heart and taking Pure Bhakti as your only business with every thought, word and deed in all times, places and circumstances. Go for it. Give it a try. It won't hurt you to try for it. And even if you're trying for it, that attempt will guarantee going back to home, back to Godhead.
Guru Mataji: Everybody can see Krishna, you give up the lower taste.
Sankarshan Das Adhikari: No more lust, anger, greed, madness, illusion, envy. Kick them out. Spit at them. Get them out of your heart. That's right.
Anything else?
Devotee: Srila Gurudev, How to grow internally?
Sankarshan Das Adhikari: How to grow internally? How do you grow a plant? You got to water it. If you're growing a plant, you have to weed it, weed the garden around it, and you have to water it, isn't it? So the way to grow internally is to keep watering the... By hearing... Even by hearing the name Krishna one time. Someone says, Krishna, and you hear that, the seed of bhakti is planted in your heart. So right now you already have the seed of bhakti planted within. So you have to weed the garden by avoiding the offenses, and you have to water that creeper by Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare, Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare, by bathing in Jamuna, by hearing Bhagavatam, by taking the dust of Vrindavan upon your head, by having darshan of Krishna Balaram. In so many ways, keep watering, watering, watering, and keep weeding, weeding, weeding. In this way, you're cultivating the seed of bhakti in your heart and eventually, it eventually pierces through the coverings of this material existence and go all the way to the lotus feet of Radha and Krishna and wrap around their lotus feet. Okay? Go for it.
Next.
Guru Mataji: And another one also, Prabhupada, gives the example, if you have a bucket of dirty water, you keep filling it with clean water, dirty water will go away automatically, you don't even have to weed it out.
Sankarshan Das Adhikari: If you water enough, the weeds will go away automatically?
Guru Mataji: Bucket of dirty water, you keep pouring clean water, So all the dirty water will flow out.
Sankarshan Das Adhikari: Very good. Yeah, the thing, because you get the higher taste. Right now, if you lusty, angry and greedy, if you just focus on awakening, developing a taste for the name, that lust, anger and greed will go away automatically. That's a fact. In other words, I mean, how many of us get tempted by, we go by McDonald's hamburgers, for example. Oh, there is a McDonald's hamburgers. No, we don't even think about it. Or a liquor shop. Oh, a liquor shop. No.
Guru Mataji: And Johnny Walker, right? Huh? Johnny Walker.
Sankarshan Das Adhikari: Oh, yeah. My big complaint, I'll make this point again. When I arrived in Delhi, Airport, this is the land of Krishna. This is the land where the prime minister even inaugurated a stamp celebrating the 150th birthday anniversary of Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Thakur. You expect there to be something about Krishna when you arrive in the airport. What did we see? Johnny Walker liquor. And what did we see? A huge queue of Indians standing in line to buy their Johnny Walker to take home. It just broke my heart. It's like I was heartbroken. It's like a knife piercing my heart to see such a thing. In the holy land of India, the Indian people are now going crazy. And the other one was Russian vodka. (Guru Mataji: Russian vodka). It just breaks my heart to see such a thing. But we devotees, we're disgusted when we see Johnny Walker in Russian, but I say, maybe I could take a little hit of Johnny Walker. No, we're not. See, because we're getting a higher taste. Even previously, we may have taken liquor and thought it was a wonderful thing, but now we're not even attracted to it. So in this way we can give up these lower tastes. Instead of seeing a woman, boy, she looks like she'd be really good. No, she's my mother, you see. Or even Prabhupad, he said, you're dancing in the kirtan with so many beautiful girls. He said, his brother and sisters, that's all right. So in this way, we can give up these attractions, you see. Become attracted to Krishna, his wonderful Leelas, how he's walking on the bank of the Yamuna, how he's standing in the moonlit night, playing the fifth note in his flute, attracting the Gopis to come and dance Rasa dance. All these things are so attractive, you see. We can give up all these lower attractions of Hollywood and Bollywood and this and that. We have attracted the wonderful Krishna, Leela, Krishna Leela. Anything else?
Hare Krishna. Hare Krishna. Nice to see you.
Devotee: Hare Krishna. I've been looking around all over.
Sankarshan Das Adhikari: Thank you for showing up in your wheelchair. I appreciate it a lot. You come in your wheelchair. I'm really happy to see how you've come in your wheelchair even you've come. Very nice. Okay, If there's no other questions, here's one more.
Devotee: Srila Gurudev , we see that even in the ISKCON, we have a very high divorce rate.
Sankarshan Das Adhikari: That's not ISKCON. That's MISKCON. ISKCON means No divorce. That's the real meaning of ISKCON. Somebody who's divorcing, that's not ISKCON. That's MISKON. And the beards also. Once you're initiated, beforehand it's okay, but I might campaign against the beards if I initiated devotees also. It's Prabhupada's standard, no beards. Before initiation it's okay, I'm not on your case. But those who are initiated, no beards and no divorces.
Anything else? From the lady's side, the gentleman's side, anything else? Is everybody ready now to awaken pure love of God within your heart and push for this movement to drive the lust, anger and greed out of the hearts of all living entities in this material existence and establish pure bhakti in the heart of every single living entity in this planet in the whole material existence. You ready for it? Ready? Let's go for it. Revolutionize your heart and revolutionize the whole material world. Ki jai.
Guru Mataji: Srila Prabhupad ki
All : Jai!
Sankarshan Das Adhikari: I forgot to ask if there's any questions on the internet. Oh, there is some. (Guru Mataji: inaudible) Let me take one from the, well, what should I do? Let me just take one, and then we'll call it quits. Krishnaseva Das. You've happily taken Vanaprastha, so should we also take it after a certain age?
